ABOUT

During the most intense years of the War on Music, there was a real fear that music would be lost forever.

A group of people gathered and swore they would not let this happen. They were inspired by the ideas in a little-known book by Bill Drummond  called The 17.

They called themselves Root 17, and declared every follower of the movement who gathered to make music in such desperate times a member of the group.

We keep that tradition alive today, and take our place in the choir.
